March Madness Is Finally here!!!!!
Its March so we all know what that means. Other than the Olympics and World Cup, March Madness is the next big sporting event that the world can look forward to. Where the phrase "expect the unexpected" really comes into hand. For a whole month people will be glued to there TV's through out the day to tune into the madness.
Out of 347 teams only 68 will be able to be apart of something that we've all dreamed about since we were kids. Any thing can happen in the tournament there aren't any sleepers or lucky teams, every team felt like they were good enough to make the tournament back in November and that's exactly what they did. It doesn't matter if you're a 1 seed or a 16 seed when the ball is tossed in the air your regular season record and all the games that you've played in the past don't matter anymore, its the moment that matters and all you have to do is capitalize on the opportunity in front of you.
The best part of this is when everybody fills out there bracket and thinks that they're an expert analysis hoping to have a perfect bracket. The last person to have a perfect bracket was an autistic person 2010. The key is to survive and advance so lets wee what happens.

Is taking the title away from this Jackie Robinson West team fair?
The Jackie Robinson West team accomplished things that people thought would never happen and things that we all didn't know still needed to be accomplished just to have it taken away from them.
With months of coaching, preparation and listening, this Jackie Robinson West team did what they dreamed of doing and won the Little League World Series. They are the first African-American team to do so. It seems like one person out there didn't want to believe that an all black team could win a Little League World Series fair and square without somehow bending the rules. It turns out that person was right but only to a certain extent.
In the past there have been all white teams, Asian teams and Mexican teams that have the Little League World Series and I don't think that anybody decided to check if they had players outside the recruiting district, So why with this team? It took 6 months for this person to investigate what happened and just like that we found out that the Jackie Robinson West team had a player on their team that lived outside the neighborhood and district in Illinois where they can recruit players to build a team.
The name Jackie Robinson is more than a name to this country and to disgrace the name the way the coaches did is disgraceful. Removing the coaches from the team that did this unjust thing is the right thing to do and I think they shouldn't be involved in coaching activities again. I know that rules are rules but its not fair to take the title away from 11 & 12 year old's who knew nothing about these rules and regulations and just played the game. It the coaches and parents fault not the players, kids at that age are innocent and they do what they are trained to do which is to listen to their parents and coaches.

2nd Half of NBA Season - Anybody Excited?
As we all look forward to the second half of this great NBA season this is the time where teams either keep up the good run of basketball they played in the first half of the season or somewhere along the way lose their focus and come April 15th, they end up being on the outside looking in.
The powerful Western Conference is known for having a good 9th and 10th seed wishing they were in the Eastern Conference. Right now the San Antonio Spurs hold the 7th seed at (34-19), Phoenix Suns hold the 8th seed at (29-25), Oklahoma City Thunder hold the 9th at (28-25) and the New Orleans Pelicans hold the 10th at (27-26). They are all above .500 which is what you want at the halfway point of the season. Its way too early to tell what could happen but we all know the San Antonio Spurs will hold that 7th spot or if anything only move up in the standings.
For the past couple of weeks everybody has been wondering if the OKC Thunder will make the playoffs because of an up and down season due to injuries. Entering the All Star break Phoenix has lost 4 out of their last 5 which is not the note that you want to end on. Last year they held that 8th seed for most of the season but ended up missing the playoff by ONE GAME.
When this NBA season started, I don't think anybody thought that an OKC team would be in the present position that they are in. At the start of every new season this team is always the favorite to come out of the Western Conference and probably win the finals. But right now they are a 9th seed at the midway point of the season. That sounds crazy.
All this demonstrates the beauty of the sport and sports in general. Nobody knows what could happen and things don't always go as planned - predictions are not always as they seem. I think the OKC Thunder will definitely make the playoffs which is going to suck for that 9th and 10th seed who could easily be a 6th,7th or 8th seed in the East. I imagine these other teams will be on the outside looking in at the end of the season. Like everyone else we just have to see what happens and enjoy all the moments to come. This should be fun to watch.
